um...then where is the test page being pulled from, when you just type in the IP address into the browser, or simply create a page , a simple html page and place it in the same directory as the index.php
eg
<html><head><title></title></head><body> This is a test</body></html>
Save this line as index2.html
and then call it using the url u gave below, but replace index.php with index2.html
If this page does not show its a mapping problem between apache and your directory structure, if it does show, then its a php problem

I can't do what you propose because I can't find the test page in /root/
[root@pclabo root]# ls anaconda-ks.cfg dead.letter install.log install.log.syslog serweb sw
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
I presume that in apache http://172.25.97.19/ is mapped to /root/ directory, and the test page is in there. > >Also to make sure it not
