You can retrieve this information using kamcmd
kamcmd stats.get_statistics all | grep usrloc
kamcmd tls.info
Not sure what you meant by "via the routing file"

sorry, i hit the send key a bit too quickly.
i am trying to access two items via the routing file: a.) number of
registered users. b.) number of active TLS connections.
I am not pushing the registrations to the database. usrloc is stored
in memory.
any ideas?
