This is actually semi-interesting, because if you go here http://ftp.iptel.org/pub/rtpproxy/ you get the impression that rtpproxy-0.3 is the one to get. There is a file there named: LATEST-IS-0.3 But here: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Portaone+rtpproxy it gives instructions for how to pull it out of CVS: * Download from CVS note: you should update rtpproxy from CVS in order for it to work: cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.ser.berlios.de:/cvsroot/ser login press enter when prompted for a password cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.ser.berlios.de:/cvsroot/ser co rtpproxy then do the usual: ./configure; make; make install and the code you get is different. Note that the output of "rtpproxy -v" has not changed (yet). So, the CVS version is still 0.3, but it looks like some obvious bug fixes as some arrays have had their dimensions increased by one, plus a couple of new minor features (-T ttl and -L nfiles). But wait, there's more: there is even a man page (rtpproxy.8)!! The man page is there in the distribution from CVS: -2 Send every RTP packet twice in sessions that use low-bitrate codecs. Only packets that are smaller than 128 bytes will be sent twice. This option can improve audio quality on lossy links. -f Rtpproxy will stay in foreground mode if this option is set. -v Show version of program. -s ctrl_socket This parameter configures rtpproxy control socket. The control [snip] -L does not appear to be documented, but looking at the code it sets this: RLIMIT_NOFILE The maximum number of open files for this process. I have other things to say about rtpproxy, but I'll save it for the next email... -mark
