That's my understanding now also, however it doesn't fix the (cosmetical - at least for me) branch=0 issue with locally generated OPTIONS requests in the nathelper module:
OPTIONS sip:192.168.51.1:5060 SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 127.0.0.1:5062;branch=0
