Well, if Asterisk has proper support for outbound proxys compiled, it will work, but only with *one* proxy in front of Asterisk.
Yes, but AFAIR the registrar behind a proxy (Asterisk in this case) should add "Route: PROXY" for requests to registered users. Does Asterisk append it? (not sure now).
