Delay is fine. Delay with bad concurrency or performance characteristics is bad. Free
delay with few to no adverse effects is fabulous.

some additional time to be made (even on localhost) and from "middleware" to
STSH API via HTTP ....

100%, and this is what you should do. Just make sure it's a separate service and not
