Hi, I have openser 1.2.2 and freeradius-mysql 1.1.7 installed in freebsd. I don't remember whether I have built freeradius into openser. How can I find out whether openser is already built with freeradius support? I want to configure freeradius with openser in the system. Thanks SW

Hi, I've discovered en error in my conf when there is an user "B" registered from two devices: - device-B1 behind NAT with NO-STUN. - device-B2 with public IP. If "A" from public IP calls to "B" then the blag(6) (NAT) should be tested inside a "branch_route", because if not, then it could return TRUE or FALSE depending on which device (device-B1 or device-B2) appears first in "location" table. So, if I use: ----------------------------------------------------------------- # RTP-proxy Section route[8] { if (isbflagset(6)) { force_rtp_proxy(); } } ----------------------------------------------------------------- then RtpProxy will be enabled or not enabled for **ALL** the branchs (just device-B1 needs RtpProxy). But the pain here is that it's possible to not enable RtpProxy in a branch who needs it. So I think the solution (it seems to work i nmy testing) is to handle this in "branch_route": ----------------------------------------------------------------- # RTP-proxy Section route[8] { t_on_branch("8"); } branch_route[8] { if (isbflagset(6)) { force_rtp_proxy(); } } ----------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to confirm this with you, since I've never seen in any conf a "branch_route" to handle NAT bflag and RtpProxy. I have registered all my phones on OpenSER with the full number. e.g. 43 11555 1007 When one employee from one site wants to call an employee from the same site I want them only to dial 1007 not The whole number. I have following perl script, but when I use the "canonical" function, it always adds "+" in front of the number. I get following message: canonical number in 'sip:1777@server.com' is '+43115551007' After the execution of the perl script I want to check, if the user with 43115551007: It looks like this: if (uri=~"sip:[0-9]+@.*") { perl_exec("canonical"); if (does_uri_exist()) { route(2); } else { #route to LCR-Module route(3); }; } But it does not run well. Hello all, i was trying to integrate My OpenSER with Mediaproxy server for nat traversal Problems i was facing: 1)proxydispatcher.sock has not been built 2)when running with mediaproxy alone the audio was lost meaning in the first invite and 200 ok handshakes the sdp mangling was done perfect but next all reinvites( because of Session-Expires) lost the sdp mangling to respective global ips Can anybody give a clue to these two problems thanks in advance - Srinivas Antarvedi

Take a look into the core dump (set core_dump = yes) with gdb, this should give you further informations about the cause of the segmention fault. Hi! I have a problem with branch routes and openser 1.2: In the branch_route I setflag(22) and activate t_on_reply(). In the reply route I check isflagset(22) and it is not. For my understanding, I thought transaction flags belong to the transaction, regardless if they are set/read in branch_route or reply_route. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here? regards klaus

Hi All, My ser server was running fine but my users started to complain that they are not able to register. When I checked : serctl ul show 1200928 it shows 106 entries and I've checked my location table also it also contain so many expired records. I tried stopping mysql and ser and cleared all records from location table but then again after some same prob. Please help its very urgent. thanks arun

Hello Im trying to implement call forwarding unconditional redirect to a PSTN destination. Call flow: PSTN-->SIP-CallFW-->PSTN On my PSTN side I have a cisco AS5300. We succesfuly forwarded to a PSTN destination. We have changed calling party (for billing purposes) and called party to complete call forwarding. In other words we generate a new call attempt. Everything looks ok but if calling party (PSTN originating side) finishes the call before called party answers (PSTN destination side), cisco GW receives a CANCEL message and it answers with message 481 Call leg/Transaction does not exist to the Proxy. The call still ringing and goes to voice mail on PSTN destination side that means cisco GW never receives a BYE regarding to the original INVITE message. Hi! Openser 1.2: I put some routing info into the record-route header. If a transaction gets redirected to another destination in failure route, I have to adopt the parameter and add a record-route header with the new parameter. Currently, I do add_rr_param and record_route again in failure route, but this leads to 2 Record-Route headers in the outgoing request. Is there a way to reset RR in failure route - or am I just doing something wrong? thanks klaus

Here is the Fedora installation [1] Fedora 6 linux install; [2] pre-dependencies package; Because I installed OpenIMSCore and Openser Presence module before, so some dependencies was already installed. In this case I just installed clearsilver from Add&Remove Package, and copy lxml folder(1.3.4 download from lxml site) to /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/. [3] install OpenXCAP, followed installation guide/Debain unstable installation By now, that's it. Coz no daemon can be run from /etc/init.d/openxcap. [OpenSER-Users] Openser with Mysql, rtpproxy and dispatcher module

Hi Everyone I have tested openser 1.1 with the Mysql module and now I want to test 1.2with mysql, rtpproxy and the dispatcher module. When I'm compiling openser should I do anything differently? I saw rtpproxy listed in APT and the dispatcher modules was in /usr/local/lib/openser/modules last time I had openser 1.1 installed. should I only change my opernser.cfg in order for it to load? -- Thank You

If the other *online* xlite user has registered to the openser server successfully, I think the phone number that I am trying to call should be presented in the *location* table. Am I correct? The save("location") writes information about the device registering to OpenSER to this table. You should see entries for your xlite phones (both of them). Note the lookup("location") line. This, as you can probably guess, tries to locate the device (specified by the RURI, which in telephone terms, is the called number) in the location table. That's why both xlite phones should have entries in the location table. The "Not Found" message is telling you that the lookup("location") didn't find call callee. Now, I replaced the openser.cfg file with the one from the openser source. This openser.cfg does not have avp configuration. After restarted openser and registered xlite, dialed an off-line user number eg. 5678 shown "Call failed: Not Found" on the xlite panel. Openser does not write any error/wraning message to the system's log file. Is this normal? Once you know which variable is blank, you can then try to determine why it's not being populated. Your config appears to be taken from one of the automatically generated ones from sipwise. You should double check the documentation and make sure that you have followed all of the instructions. If their instructions are not complete, you should let them know. I also do not like to configure openser all possible hostnames as alias - but it is not uncommon that the SIP domain is in the pre-loaded route - at least most exosip based clients do that. Thus, having support for those clients is IMO useful. regards klaus

Hi, Is there a way for an OpenSER instance to detect if an incoming INVITE message has earlier been processed by itself? Record-Route is on, so there should be a Route message, but I suppose the Via headers could also contain the information. If it is detected I'd want OpenSER to ignore the incoming message, I suppose I could do nothing (no lookups etc.), but is there a better way? This is an issue because of the way we handle UA's registering at instance A and UA's registered at instance B wanting to call UA's at A. Due to race conditions with registrations going from A to B there are possible looping scenario's. -- Andreas Sikkema
