Hello, in the following days will start the migration of openser.org site to a new server. That might bring some outages of the web site and mailing list -- I hope won't happen, but in case will do, please wait for a while and try again. SVN and the rest hosted on sourceforge won't be affected. This is a preliminary notification to propagate the info better, beginning and ending of the transition will be marked on the mailing list and web site. Cheers, Daniel

Do you have a " character on your first line? Or is just your posting format? Also, start openser with debug=9 and check the log output. Hi all. I am installing svn HEAD version of openSer (at 10:24 am). I am finding strange errors. As I wrote before I could not create the data base (mysql) with the command create and the log was quite weird. Now, when I try to start openser I get this in the log: 'Oct 25 16:53:47 localhost openser: core:main: initialize the pseudo random generator from /dev/urandom Oct 25 16:53:47 localhost openser: core:yyerror: parse error (1,1-2): syntax error Oct 25 16:53:48 localhost openser: core:main: bad config file (1 errors)' 'openser.cfg' is in /usr/local/etc/openser/openser.cfg and I don't find anything wrong with it, apparently the line 1 is not wrong. Hi, In this scenario: User agents: UA1-192.168.1.1 UA2-192.168.1.2 UA3-192.168.1.3 All register with internal proxy: Openser-192.168.1.20 -> Nat-1.2.3.4 -> Termination server. Openser contacts the terminating server using the UAC module. On the internal Openser I record-route all calls to make sure the whole dialog passes over the proxy to be able to do accounting. However if I do: record_route_preset("1.2.3.4:5060"); and 1.2.3.4 is a dynamic IP address it seems it will be tricky to keep the record route updated. Is the answer that I need not be doing a record-route at all, as all packets will pass over the proxy anyway due to the UAC module, or is there some way to use records-route-preset with dynamic ip addresses? Hi. I am trying to install HEAD svn version of OpenSer. After 'make install' including some modules , I tried to create the Data Base with '/usr/local/sbin/openserdbctl create' But this is not working, that is the log: : command not foundser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 33: 'usr/local/lib/openser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 57: syntax error near unexpected token ` 'usr/local/lib/openser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 57: `prompt_pw() /usr/local/sbin/openserdbctl: line 239: openser_create: command not found I have read the script and I don't see anything wrong, It is strange because I tried with former versions of OpenSer and I had no problem. Hi, I have Openser 1.1 with Mediaproxy terminating calls to a AS5350 Cisco gateway. Everything works fine, except when the PSTN party terminates the call. The cisco gateway then sends a bye message to the user-agents internal IP address instead of to the sip proxy's ip address. I'm looking through the SER 2.0 documentation, and I'm trying to find out more information about load_attrs. Currently, I can't look at the module search thing, so I'm not sure where this function comes from, and there's no documentation about it. I know what it DOES.... but I'm trying to find out if there's a way to use it to load attributes from tables other than the usr_attrs table. We like to have compartmentalised tables that are more logical in their outlay, so we'd like to keep some attributes elsewhere. We're also concerned that, with a LARGE number of users each with a LARGE number of attributes and aliases and subattributes, etc, the performance will degrade (MySQL doesn't do as well with enormous tables as it does with smaller tables of data). As AVPs are going out of style, is there, then a way to store attributes in other locations and yet still use the basic functions with them? Our current SER 0.9.6 setup uses several tables to store important information compartmentalised accordingly -- call return information, aliases, etc. As we migrate from one server to another (an ongoing, but slow process for us), we're still trying to ensure no functionality is lost. We don't use xml-rpc calls. We don't use the old command-line serctl calls. We don't want to. We use straight db access from the web services for any and all functions to change settings -- easier to manage the codebase for. With this in mind, everything we do is focused on a migration that allows us to keep a logical relational database structure that is accessed through native calls.

[OpenSER-Users] Bug with OpenSER 1.3 Presence module : event handling.

Hello list, I have encountered an issue with OpenSER 1.3 and the Presence module. I have had this problem a month ago, then I downgraded to OpenSER 1.2 where the problem does not occur. Now, I want to try it out once again, and I still face the issue, so I come to you. I use the presence module, when a client sends a SUBSCRIBE request, i get the following error : Oct 24 11:05:37 rd-srv-devlnx /usr/local/sbin/openser[21700]: presence:handle_subscribe: ^Ievent= presence Oct 24 11:05:37 rd-srv-devlnx /usr/local/sbin/openser[21696]: presence:handle_subscribe: Missing or unsupported event header field value I have done the test with EyeBeam 1.1 3010n stamp 19039 and with X-lite 3.0build 30942. Maybe this is due to the formating of the event tag with a space after the equal, which I could change doing a bit of mangling in the configuration file, but I would like to know if I am the only one to experience this issue. Hi all: I have install serweb with ser successful before. Now I want to install serweb with openser, and I use the steps as same as what I do before with ser. However, the admin and user index can show on the web browser, but no matter what I do, I can't login successful(it seems the page still loading but never finish). I have fixed the database's name and password in the config_data_layer.php, and all the requirements serweb need I already install(such as DB, classkit). Please kindly advice, thank you very much. [OpenSER-Users] How to compile OpenSer to get /etc/openser and /usr/sbin/openser and /usr/lib/openser?

Hi, is possible to compile and install OpenSer in same directory estructure as Debian packages? I mean: /usr/sbin/openser* /usr/lib/openser/modules/ /etc/openser/ I could copy /etc/init.d/openser from Debian and use option "-f /etc/openser" but I'd like to know if there is a "cleaner" way. Hello Kirti, You may want to open a ticket at http://openxcap.org for this. From your description though I see that you are not using the proper libraries. The software is developed and has been tested on Debian unstable using the following versions: - libxml2: 2.6.28.dfsg-1 - python: 2.4.4-6 - python-lxml: 1.1.2-1 - twisted: 2.5.0 - python-application: 1.0.9 - python-gnutls: 1.1.1 If you get it working on a different distribution than Debian I would appreciate feedback about the system type and library versions installed to help other people with the same problems. [Serusers] problem with ser_mysql.sh

Hi All, currently we are trying to use SER release ser-2.0.0+cvs20071022. While using ser_mysql.sh to create database schema we are facing some problems. First is that, on running the script it gives error as " hn:r:w:p:P:ts:u:vkq:: Command not found" and secondly there is no provision for creating subscriber table in that script. plz help me resolving these issues.. thanx in advance.... [OpenSER-Users] How to get openser_mysql.sh in SVN trunk?

Hi, I've installed SVN trunk version but can't find openser_mysql.sh after compile most of modules (including of course mysql). That script doesn't exist in the compiled sources. I suppose I can't use 1.2 version of this script. What should I do? Thanks a lot. -- Iñaki Baz Castillo
