[Serusers] Call loop problem

Hello, I'm running ser 0.8.14 on Debian Sarge installed from debian packages found on the ser site. I can register fine with the proxy, but when trying to place a call I get "Too many Hops" errors. Disabling the hops check the calls loop. You can find my ser.cfg below. Hi, Hope someone can help me. I have a fairly bad NAT situation. Clients are behind NAT and SER is behind NAT. The idea is that the clients will register to the public address which is assigned to my router and I have enable port-forwarding to send the packets onto the pc running SER listening on 5060. This situation worked when clients registered with Asterisk but I would rather them to register with SER and just use Asterisk for voicemail etc. My config is like the default except the nathelper and mysql modules are loaded. I have looked at the following websites but all the configs are very different and use different rtp proxys..I am also confused as to how much configuration is required to accommodate nat http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/pipermail/sip-implementors/2004-February/ 006179.html http://voip-info.org/wiki-SER+example+NAThelper Could someone give me an idea of how the script should be modified, what else must be installed (rtp proxy wise)or any ideas as to why my clients cant register?....Im presuming its nat... That's easy. Instead of t_relay_to_udp("host","5060") do rewritehostport("host:5060"); t_relay(); Resolver will then be used each time and solve your problem unless a DNS cache tricks you out. Hi guys, I have a friend that's trying to call me but he gets message "488 Not Acceptable Here" When I call him everything is ok. He is behind nat and uses Draytek Vigor 2600 ADSL router. Stun tells: Port restricted NAT detected - VoIP will work with STUN Does not preserve port number Does not supports hairpin of media Public IP address: his_ip Any idea what is the problem? Hi, I'm using the new serweb version from cvs and the mysql database created with ser_mysql.sh ($Id: ser_mysql.sh,v 1.63 2004/11/16 10:12:38 dcm Exp $ from v0.9.0) and it's seem that some tables and field are left to get serweb working properly. Messages i get before i login: DB Error: no such table DB Error: no such field Is there another ser_mysql.sh version? I'm not able to find it. If not, how i can get the correct database structure? For example, if i have a incoming INVITE with 005621234567 and i have : prefix=0 code=0562 domain[0562]=gw1.mydomain.com What i want to do is : 005621234567(a)mydomain.com => 005621234567(a)gw1.mydomain.com Is this possible? [Serusers] mediaproxy: NAT vs. non-NAT connections

Hi! I've been playing around with mediaproxy for quite some time and it's running pretty well for natted connections. On the downside it's also redirecting connections between two external hosts to the mediaproxy. Using the client_nat_tests() function there should be a way to prevent this but it seems as if I failed to get it done correctly. Could someone paste a config that is able to distinguish clients properly? How would I handle connections that only have one host behind that so the INVITE comes from a not-natted connection going to a natted client (and the other way round)? I thought about calling use_media_proxy() for all initial INVITES and call it a second time on the reply route only if client_nat_test("3") found a NAT. For my last tests I used the example config from modules/mediaproxy/config/ser.cfg so I don't have to paste it here. I'm thinking of marking clients as 'needs NAT' when the register and client_nat_test("3") is true and when an INVITES comes I check both the source and destination to determine whether I need to use the mediaproxy. Makes sense? I found out after debugging mysql, that domain was not in the request string. select password,domn,uuid,rpid from subscriber where username='<user-b>' should'nt the domain be in the request??? Hi, I am a new user of SER. Need some help with understanding accounting module. I want to see all INVITES logged to syslog. If I understand it correctly, using acc.so would allow me to do that. Also, I need to include this statement modparam("acc", "log_level", 1). And then where should I use setflag(1)? I want all transactions reported whether they were successfully handled by SER or not. I downloaded the latest Ser 8.14 but I am having a hard time to get the standard ser.cfg that came with it to rewrite a host address so as to get PSTN access. I am wondering if someone could enlighten me with a properly configured ser.cfg for PSTN access. All of my attempts have failed sadly. Make sure you have SER with the mysql module because by default it is not compiled. Read the install (or INSTALL) file in the SER directory to see how to include the mysql module.. Samuel. Hi guys, I know that it might not be the right question to the list but, i'm testing various voip solutions, and what I need is a solution that gives me the possibility to make sip calls, associated also to a PSTN, with also authentication properties like, the server auth at another server and so on. I need it integrated with a database, such as mysql, and also a billing system. Is mainly important that all or nearly all the configuration could be done by an Web Interface to make things easier, at least my clients provisioning. I've looked for this type of solution, and found various softs that does that, but i'm not sure which one is the best for it ... What I've found best for me is asterisk, ser, b2bua (sip softs), with mysql as the database, and cdrtool, voxbox as a Billing System and Web Interface. I'd like to know what are your experiences, and what kind of system and softs do you use. [Serusers] CDRTool Login help !!!

Hi everybody I've configured CDRTool, the login screen appears but when I try to login on CDRTool system, like user: locker password: ndd18vv, CDRTool gives me the error message: "Either your username or your password are invalid.", When I try to register with user: locker(a)192.168.4.10 password: ndd18vv, I receive the following error message: "Database error: pconnect(192.168.4.10, ser, $Password) failed. MySQL Error: () Session halted." Probably I forgot some path, or configured a wrong path, so doesn't find mysql databases. But its stranger that the fist error messages I've writen, doesn't give me a database error, but a username and password error. Since CDRTool is poorly documented in the web, i couldn't find where the errors are. Can anyone give me a hand ? Any help will be very appreciated. Hello. I am having configuration issues with ser when dealing with users who have voicemail and desire a timeout after a set number of rings, and those who don't have voicemail and desire a very long ring count. Here is the example: Phone A has voicemail Phone B does not have voicemail Works: Phone B calls A. A does not answer. After a set period of time (fr_inv_timer=24), the user is proxy'ed to voicemail. Doesn't work: Phone A calls B. B does not answer. After a set period of time, the proxy responds with a 408 and the transaction is CANCELed . The example above is a case when I just want to proxy the INVITE to a user without setting a timer, stateless. I would consider sending the original INVITE using forward() for users without voicemail, but the parameters require a port and IP, of which exists in ser.location and I may fork to multiple contacts for the user. In addition, when responding with a 408, how does the proxy differentiate between a timed out INVITE (after a set of retries) and a transactional timeout (that had a provisional response)? [Serusers] proxy_authorize fails

When trying to use proxy_authorize in ser.cfg, we get a problem. www_authorize works in REGISTER events, but when we try to do a proxy_authorize (in INVITE events) it returs false even if the user is registered. What we want to do is to authorize requests before relaying calls to PSTN/Internet. Below is a simple test we did. The first test returns false no matter what.
