My comments are constructive. I've constructively stated several times that the documentation is very bad. Each time I've made this constructive comment, I've been attacked. In my previous post, I made another constructive comment. I said that maybe the reason the documentation is so bad is that the project isn't that old. Doug.

Hi iam working with Ser + ASterisk how can i send the call to voice mail after X rings ( any way of the user is not there iam already sending to voice mail) example : if some one calls registered user if the user is not respond for 6 rings its go to Voice mail if the user not there it should go directly to voice mail help will be appriciated ram

[Users] Setting up voicemail

Hi all, I'm trying to setup an openser using an asterisk as a pstn gw and voicemail server. Everything seems to be working fine except when a call is redirected to voicemail by timeout (using failure_route). In this situation, asterisk is asking for proxy auth to openser that redirects the request to the calling ua. But when the ua responds to openser, this latest sends the invitation to the destination ua and not to asterisk, as he should. I can't figure out a way of accomplishing this... any idea? The sip trace diagram and the full openser.cfg are in attachment. The wrong invite is represented as "F19 INVITE" in the diagram... Thanks, Edgar

Hello there, Why does the following configuration statement : setdsturi("sip:hostname:5061"); is not accepted and results in the following in my logs : set_dst_uri: Invalid parameter value It's probably straightforward but I don't understand... Thanks in advance. -- Simon Morvan.

I've set the SIP_DOMAIN environment variable, (the IP of the pc where I'm running the openser and then the same command but with the IP where I've a sopftphone on a XP pc) and then I've run this: openserctl add 650 1234 650(a)192.16.25.12 (650 is a softphone registered on 192.16.25.10...a XP pc)(I've made also with 650@192.16.25.10..but doesn't change...) Mysql password: (empty I think) MySql password for user 'openser@localhost': (empty) Enter password: (root password ) ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'openser'@'localhost' (using password: YES) introducing the new user to the database failed Where is the problem? Which are the right passwords?....I'm using openser on an asterisk at home box..
