Hi. Is it possible to use a avp variable in functions' second parameter when I'm using regular expression? For instance: avp_check("$ruri","re/sip:$avp(s:prefix).*$") I didn't see any code doing that. Thanks in advance. [Users] Grandstream weirdness.

Not sure if this is related to signaling or openser but I have a few grandstreams that lock up a similar times that have there signaling done via openser. Doesn't seem to happen with Asterisk. Basically the grandstream seems to hang. Has anyone seen this? Something I should to do keep the grandstream awake? TIA Shane

Hello all. I have accounting with MySQL working fine. I have records on my acc table. Please, I'd like to know if there is a tool to process the acc table entries to get completed calls on another MySQL table, taking into account missing BYEs or CANCELs. I found that CDRtool can do this and more, but its not free and it seems to be complicated. [Users] Best practice for DNS failover using OpenSER?

Hi I'm trying to get something to work that I thought should work out of the box, but when implemented didn't work the way I thought it would... Please comment. I'm using OpenSER as a core SIP proxy, among other things to connect to a POTS network via two independent Cisco PGW2200 SS7 GW. These gateways have fully DNS resolvable SIP domains (rfc 3263, NAPTR, SRV and A records). NAPTR (udp only) => SRV (udp only) => 2x A records (one for each redundant GW). Calls directed to POTS nicely load shares between the two A records. So far so good. Now, if I disable one of the Gateways, I hang every second call. OpenSER does not try the second A record address if the first doesn't answer. How can I solve this? Shouldn't OpenSER fail over to the second A record listed in the NAPTR => SRV resolving? Or will OpenSER continue to resend all SIP INVITES until timers fire? Would it help if the proxy recieved an ICMP port/destination unreachable from the network? Is there anyway to get around this? In the other direction, from POTS to sip, the PGW2200 nicely switches over to the second of my two OpenSER servers if I shut one of them down. These servers have the same DNS entries (but for another SIP domain, NAPTR => SRV => 2x A record). I would love some best practice implementation clues regarding OpenSER and multiple GW fail over, if anyone of you have such knowledge or experience. [Users] patch release openser 1.1.1

Hello, we plan to release a patch update to 1.1.0, numbered 1.1.1 at the beginning of the next week. It will be a packaging of the current version of the branch rel_1_1_0. People using OpenSER from cvs are already using this if they did 'cvs update' recently, but those using packages released for 1.1.0 from htpp://openser.org should update to it. This is a query to gather any know issues you are aware of, to include them there. There is not going to be any backport, major release 1.2.0 not being too far. Cheers, Daniel

Hi, I found documentation for what the type column means (i.e. possible values and what they imply), but can't seem to find it. Maybe that could be documnted in http://www.openser.org/docs/OpenSER_Database_Structure.html or http://www.openser.org/docs/modules/1.1.x/avpops.html Also, is there a reason why the datatype of the type field is int(11)? 11 seems like an odd number. Hi everybody, Thanks to a contribution from Jeremie, nathelper module offers the possibility to configure the "a=nortpproxy:yes\r\n" string. This is a string marker added by nathelper when rtpproxy is enabled. [Users] allow trusted proxies with dynamic IPs

Hi, Is it possible to allow_trusted some PSTN gateways which have a dynamic IP address? >From what it looks like, the trusted table only allows the usage of a source IP address. A hostname that is DNS resolvable or an IP/mask pair would solve this. What can be done? Thanks, Cristian

Hi all, Is there support for dynamic avp/hdr names, like $hdr($avp(s:name)) I'm getting <null> when I try this... and I've checked that $avp(s:name) has a valid header name (Contact). Thanks, JF
