Hi,
The update of OpenSER 1.2.1 to FreeBSD ports tree has been committed.
The port will also appear as a package in the next official packages
build.
There are two ways to install a port in FreeBSD. Both methods require
to update the ports tree (with cvsup or tarball). Once the port tree
is updated:
If portupgrade tool is installed just do:
portupgrade -N openser
If portupgrade is not used or you prefer the usual/old method:
cd /usr/ports/net/openser
make install clean
The port allows to select some compile options like TLS support and
database support for MySQL and/or Postgres. If you are upgrading the
port, please run:
cd /usr/ports/net/openser
make config
if you want to change some compile time option.
When the package appears in the next official build, you will only
need to do:
pkg_add -r openser
Saludos

Hi,
I have to try changing the To and From URI like below:
At the moment: To: sip:test1@test.com;tag=.....
To be like: To: "test1"<sip:test1@test.com>;tag=...
What would be the easiest way for doing this for presence NOTIFY SIP
message ? Or if this can not be done with configuration system, then
from where in the code the SIP message header is generated ?
Thanks a lot,
-Mika
Hi!
Does presence module handles PUBLISH/SUBSCRIBE stateful or stateless?
Thus, how should retransmission be handled. Will they be detected by
presence module or is it possible to wrap the handle_publish inside
t_newtran()?
regards
klaus
Hi,
I noticed that this was already asked in mailing-list, but couldn't find
any response, so thought to ask what is the opinion about this. Seems
that all SIP stacks can not handle the NOTIFY message without
Max-Forward. What kind of by pass options could be done for this, and is
this problem something which will be checked in the future ?
Thank you for any information,
-Mika
Hi everybody.
We are trying to integrate a telephony platform based on Openser 1.2.0, with
a Class-4 third party softswitch which does not support REFER method.
Provider asks to us to change this method within Openser to INVITE method,
so that the softswitch does not have to handle REFER but INVITE messages-
Does somebody have any idea how to do that? We still think that solution is
weird and difficult (and tricky), but, might be we are wrong.
Thanks in advance for your help and attention.

Hi,
In 0.9.x we have had the command "serctl ul show". The serctl tool seems
to be non-functional in 2.0.0, could somehow explain how one is supposed
to get list of in-memory contacts from the usrloc module in 2.0.0?
In general it would be nice to have some "migration guide" started in
WiKi so that people could share information like this. Personally I've
spend quite lot of time migrating my 0.9.6 config to 2.0.0 and have
quite few tips to share.
Thanks for any hints!
-Maxim
Everybody should by now have had plenty of time to provide feedback,
input, and objections to the proposed rules for an iptel.org technical
board. I have noted one correction to the original summary on April 28:
adding semsdev(a)iptel.org as a nomination and voting list.
I have taken this correction into the rules and established a permanent
page describing the rules for a technical board.
I conclude that we have reached a consensus as described here:
http://www.iptel.org/technicalboard/rules
According to the rules, we shall nominate one candidate from SEMS, two
candidates with SER CVS write access, and two candidates from the wider
SER community. Feel free to nominate and vote on up to five candidates
in the same post.
Raphael Coeffic has been nominated as SEMS representative and already
started to receive votes.
