Hi,
Doesn't anyone else get the same problem when using the newest CVS version ?
It requires a new table structure (at least I understand so) , but what is the new table structure and how can I build it ?
Thanks,
ilker

Hi,
I've already tried that. Doesn't work...
I guess the new CVS version has some new table structure but that's not updated on the database creating scripts.
How can I learn the new database structure ?
Thanks,
ilker

Drop tables and create them again (both with ser_mysql) - this should work.

Run "make" in the directory src/upload or you can call a C compiler
(like gcc) directly to the source file.

In the README document included with the presence snapshot (xcap/README)
says that a script must be created from C source in src/upload. I've got the
source but I don't know how to create the script :-P
Could someone help me?
Thanks,
Gustavo.
I am using openser + mediaproxy. From the top, I found the the CPU
usage is increased when the number of sessions increased. When the
system handling 30 current sessions, the CPU usage is occupied by
python on 80%. When the system handling 40 current sessions, the CPU
usage is occupied by python over 90% and the system is hanged somehow.
As I know, mediaproxy is written by python. That's mean mediaproxy
uses much CPU resource for handling RTP session. Is it the real case
of using mediaproxy? If I want to handle more RTP session, what can I
do (use rtpproxy)?
Thanks!
We use SER on a large scale too and I had to develop my own apps (with some
help from this list) that monitor SER and the Mediaproxy server (wrote my
own MIB), so if anyone has info on monitoring I would be interested as well.

Subject: [Serusers] Monitoring SER
Hi,
My company has deployed SER on a very large scale across
the US and I would like to develop a way to monitor critical
parts of SER and the servers that SER runs on.
I have several questions regarding monitoring SER.
1. Can SER be SNMP enabled via something like SMUX or AgentX from net-snmp?
2. Does SER have any native SNMP support or other monitoring/logging hooks
built in?
3. Do any mibs exist for SER / SIP?
4. I am also still trying to find out if SER has anyway to detect when
a user looses registration either via SER internals or external watchdog
scripts etc.
Thanks
David

Did the rewrtiehostport syntax change between 1.0.x and 1.1.x? This
is the last thing I have not been able to resolve since upgrading to
1.1.x testing.
for example where ...
if ((method =~ "INVITE" || method =~"ACK") && uri =~ "sip:
\*123@.*") {
if (is_user_in("From", "voicemail")){
setflag(1);
rewriteuser("*123");
rewritehostport("127.0.0.1:5070");
t_relay();
return;
} else {
return;
};
};
used to take an INVITE to *123(a)my.sip.proxy and toss them to
127.0.0.1:5070 since upgrading it no longer does. Instead I get ...
my.home.machine.ip -> my.sip.proxy.ip SIP/SDP Request: INVITE
sip:*123@eastern.ionoc.net, with session description
my.sip.proxy.ip -> my.home.machine.ip SIP Status: 100 trying -- your
call is important to us
my.sip.proxy.ip -> my.home.machine.ip SIP Status: 408 Request Timeout
my.home.machine.ip -> my.sip.proxy.ip SIP Request: ACK
sip:*123@eastern.ionoc.net
where the 408 occurs after whatever I have set in "modparam("tm",
"fr_timer", X)"
This is taking place anywhere else in the openser.cfg that I have a
rewritehostport as well.
Any clues?
Do you have
debug=8 # debug level (cmd line: -dddddddddd)
fork=no
log_stderror=yes # (cmd line: -E)
in your ser.cfg ?
if not then have a look in syslog and see if its logged the details
there.
