[Serusers] Starting SER : PID file /var/run/ser.pid does not exist -- SER start failed

hello friends please help me to get out from this error , when i run ser start command it show the follow listening on udp: 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]:5060 udp: 192.168.0.76 [192.168.0.76]:5060 tcp: 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]:5060 tcp: 192.168.0.76 [192.168.0.76]:5060 Aliases: tcp: localhost:5060 tcp: localhost.localdomain:5060 udp: localhost:5060 udp: localhost.localdomain:5060 but when i start giving this command serctl start i got this following error ********Starting SER : PID file /var/run/ser.pid does not exist -- SER start failed********* i had checked for errors by starting ser -c but nothing i can do and iam using ser-0.9.6 on fedora 4 i even connected to mysql database and i can see the ser tables i think every thing is going fine but what is this error since 6 days iam working round this but cant find the answer and my ser.cfg it shows no errors , i dont understand from which and what way i have to go to debug this error please help me thanks in advance ravi.

[Serusers] IM and presence behind NAT

I have clients behind NAT belonging to different ser domains. For IM and presence to work between them, is any NAT support needed? Or just the ser core is sufficent? Does TCP or UDP transport makes any difference? Thanks, - mei

[Serusers] Returning values from functions inside the custom modules...

Hello, I have the following question: We have developed a custom module and right now all the functions returns basically true/false (or 0, which is stop processing). Hi Ravi, I guess you should first go through the SER User's Guide, which will help you understand SER better. the default openser.cfg allows users to register and make calls. I guess probably you have not created users in openser and so you are not able to login. [Serusers] ser problem - I had to restart it

[Users] RPID (Remote-Party-ID) MAXTNT Calling ID

I've tried setting the RPID field in the subscriber table. No such luck. Anyone else using openser with the TNT? I've dug into the TNT manual but it doesn't seem to give a spec of what makes caller presentation work. A packet trace of a working SIP to MAXTNT would be great then I could determine what was missing. TIA Shane

[Users] Correct exec_dset usage

Hi, i need to use exec_dset command in my cfg script: i need it lunch an external command, like a java program.
