I'm using MediaProxy with ser-0.9.
Is there a way to test if a caller and callee are behind the same NAT
(assuming both are registred with my sip proxy)?
I'd like to not use mediaproxy for calls where the caller can directly
contact the callee.

I see this line in config.h
#define MIN_UDP_PACKET 32
Does this mean that ser happily drops all UDP traffic with a size less than 32?
If so, it would seem that SER proxies on the internet have an exposure
to DoS attacks because someone could set 16-byte UDP packets to ser
and therefore cause problems.
Is this correct?

wrong with it or point me in the right direction

Hello:
I am using SER 0.8.14 stable. All is well except some users are reporting
that blind and supervised transfer, initiated from aCisco 7960 running 7.3
SIP image, doesn't work. Just dead air after transferring until eventually
the transfer timesout.
ngrep and SER log output suggests the correct sequence of invites and
acks are being generated yet the calls do not go through. Has anyone else
experienced this type of problem? If so can you share some thoughts
on what is happening?

How can UA1 know UA2 under SER2 if UA1 registers to SER1 sip
server(domainA.com)
and another UA2 registers to SER2 sip server(domainB.com) ?
UA1 ==> SER1(domainA.com) <== ?? ==> SER2(domainB.com) ==> UA2
Is there any middleware like freeradius or mysql to let UA1 know the
location of UA2 ?

When a non registered user tries to connect to my SIP
server, it gives the error message "Login Failed!".
However that particular user can make calls to the
other users registered with my SIP server. I'm using
authentication using mysql db. Is this a kind of an
open relay situation or it has something to do with
the way I have configured SER? Is there a way to
overcome this?

why is it when I execute this command:
shell# rtpproxy -s udp:*:17000
i get this error:
rtpproxy: explicit binding address has to be specified in UDP command mode
I followed the one at README.remote
What am I doing wrong. Hope anyone can help me. TIA

I read in the requirements of serweb MySQL version 4.0 or higher. I'm
actually using version 3.23.49. So far it seems to work reliably, am I
asking for trouble?
