Hi! The modules "statistics" and "counters" overlap quite a lot. THey use the same core functionality, but counters have RPC interface and statistics use the MI. Counters talk about "core counters" and statistics talk about "statistic variables" - but they are the same. If I add a core counter, it shows up as a "statistic variable" using the statistic module. If this was pre-4.0 code freeze I would like to merge these modules into one. Since we can't do that now, is it OK that I add cross-references in the README's and explain the situation and add references to the "other" module? /O
