Hi,
I've started fixing this now.
I have updated the record-routing part so that double-RRs are added. I
now have to modify the strict and loose routing code in loose.c to do
the right thing when double-RRs with flow-tokens are received.
Hopefully, should have something within the next day or so.

I think this should be working now. Please let me know if there are
problems.
One thing I have done here is remove outbound completely from the strict
routing code. I don't have a system to test this with at the moment and
what was there wouldn't have worked. If anyone thinks they might use
outbound and strict routing in the same network they are welcome to try
adding it back ;-)

Actually, looking at it, some of the outbound module fixes rely on some of
the recent changes made to the supported/require parser so I won't
back-port this for now as it looks to be a bigger job than I have time to
do and test right now.

Or use something like "add_rr_param()" to stick in a custom header
yourself in the Kamailio configuration and then check for it in Route:
headers and decide whether to bypass calling loose_route() or not based
on it.

I am saying that record-route()/loose_route() doesn't do anything with
GRUU when outbound is used right now.
I am not sure what the right changes would be. But there might be
something easy you can do to avoid the problem for now.
Changing the code to add a custom parameter isn't a good idea as it will
be outside of any RFC specification. I think whatever is in the code
should be based on the RFCs. So if you want to do something to work
around it with custom parameters as you have suggested I think this
should be done entirely on the config file side of things.

my understanding is that outbound flow token is added to route set when
dialog is established. if ua looses connection to its proxy during the
dialog and then re-establishes it, in-dialog requests to that ua stop

location lookup.

I was under the impression that one advantage of outbound is that is
replaced the need for non-standard solutions such as contact-aliasing
and adding received headers to things like Path:
I don't understand (functionally) what the difference between a
flow-token in a Path: header and the received parameter is. So I don't
understand why a flow-token can't be put in a Path: header when using
GRUU. I can see that you don't need to put flow-tokens in Record-Route:
headers when using GRUU because the route-set used for in-dialog routing
will be based on the Path: stored in the location table - but it seems
to me that this makes putting the outbound flow-token in to the Path:
headers essential.

they do, because when ua behind
NAT registers, edge proxy adds received
param to path header that contains the ip address/port of the ua at the
nat box.
i just tested and it worked fine.

most likely you are correct, i.e., there is no problem with flow token
in path header of register request as long as there is a way to avoid
flow token in r-r uris.
