Hello,
as a follow up to previous discussions on the mailing list, I would like
to propose Wednesday, Feb 3, 2016 as the day to freeze the development
for next major release. It will allow the people going at Fosdem to chat
and do last minute tunings before freezing.
Other suggestions or comments are welcome!

Hello Daniel. Please commit changes at webrtc module for the 4.3 version
because 4.3 version not works correctly woth open ssl 1.0.2
but it needs now for support chrome webrtc endpoints. Chrome starts to work
only with dtls 1.2 but only openssl 1.0.2 supports it.
To resolve these issues I use master branch for setting up kamailio, but I
think it is not big changes to do it avalible at the 4.3 major release.

short reminder that if no consistent reason arise, the development for
next major release 4.4 is going to be frozen by end of Wednesday, Feb 3,
2016, then starting the testing phase before doing the full release.
If there are features that you want in 4.4, try to push the commits or
make pull requests by that date.

New subject: [SR-Users] Freezing the development for next major version 4.4
Hi Daniel,
There's an outstanding crash bug fix on GitHub submitted last week -
https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio/pull/492.
This is also present in 4.3 and probably earlier releases. It'd be helpful for us if
this could be merged to master and I will sort the backports separately.

freezing is about not adding new features, fixes will be always
committed to devel and stable branches.
I say the pull request, but I was traveling to Fosdem conference and I
didn't get the chance to look at it, I will do it very soon, likely

Hello Luis,
I think I will merge it by the freeze deadline, but traditionally we
(allowed to) merge most of the pull requests made before even after
deadline, as some devs might be unexpected unavailable or short in time
in these days. The main idea is to draw the line at existing code and
pull requests in that moment, the reason I said "try to push the commits
or make pull requests by that date".
