This looks suspicious in that commit:
+ _tr_buffer_list = (char**)malloc(TR_BUFFER_SLOTS);
Try changing it to:
+ _tr_buffer_list = (char**)malloc(TR_BUFFER_SLOTS * sizeof(char*));
