[Serusers] AVP/SELECT type / length in ser.cfg?

I've added it to the SER-326 issue.

BTW, could Jira be configured (back?) to send a dev mail for every issue
update? I've added a comment on issue SER-359, which probably only Rick
was notified about, when I actually wanted the makefiles' maintainer be
hinted about.
