I just did a ps -ef and it shows the process is running:

root at comm01 root]# ps -ef | grep ser
	rpcuser 1555 1 0 May26 ? 00:00:00 rpc.statd
	bin 1779 1 0 May26 ? 00:00:01
/usr/sbin/cannaserver -syslog -u bin
	root 9488 1 99 Aug08 ? 21:37:06 /usr/sbin/ser

This is the problem, SER can't be reached. Most likely, it is not running.

Internet Control Message Protocol
    Type: 3 (Destination unreachable)
    Code: 3 (Port unreachable)
