Hello,

it's now two weeks since the development for 5.6.x series was frozen. I
propose to create the git branch 5.6 sometime next week, latest on
Thursday, May 5, 2022. From that moment, the code goes in release
candidate phase, meaning we should start preparing for release with the
wiki page about what is new, upgrade guidelines, update packaging specs,
... In 1-2 weeks from that moment, the release of v5.6.0 is expected to
happen.

Also, once the branch 5.6 is created, the master branch can get again
new features to be part of the future 5.7.x series (or another version
series that is going to be decided later).

Should anyone wants a different roadmap, let's discuss and decided on
the best one.

Cheers,
Daniel
