I've only just started using linux, so i was just untaring the
ser-0.8.14_linux_i386.tar.gz as it said to do in the HowTo file. is this the
correct thing to do? i heard about RPM files being talked about on the
internet, but couldnt find any for SuSE 9.2.
Please could someone tell me the best way to install the files, and how to
compile them if that is whats needed.
i start the program by running ser, and when i did that on the old machine,
it loaded very quickly, but now it take aobut 15s, and when i run ngrep, i
can see the SIP phone is sending REGISTER messages, but the program does
nothing.
I'd really appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
Thanks
Damian
