Sometimes you have an unresponsive vendor.... sometimes the economics
aren't right in fixing the client... Jasomi and others have protocol
fixup solutions.  If there was an easy way to drop a packet with ser,
I could fix a problem I have in my DS3 gateways with an unsupported
SIP implementation.
