I think they are coming from the SVN times, not sure if GIT supports
such tokens.

It is the same format as in latest svn, just you need to have a Makefile
in the doc directory pointing to the main docbook file. That means you
can name the docbook files as you like, although it is recommended to
stick to some naming schema.
