I forgot to mention that I am using version 1.4.3, so htables is not available for me.
Although I will take a look at the shared variables, it looks like what i am looking for, thank you again.

Yes, You Can! :-)

But actually, as AVPs are related to a transaction. Thus, as I think you want to use this variables in a global context you should take a look at shared variables, which can also be changed over the MI interface during
runtime:

Further, the htables module can be interesting too:
