I can confirm that it works. This is the OpenSer generated MESSAGE

As a suggestion, wouldn't be better is the From in the notification MESSAGE 
would be the destination in order to avoid a new IM window in the sender?
It's not cool that for each message I send and is stored I receive a new IM.

Maybe this could be a feature request? :)
