well, for openser you can use dbtext, which is tiny db driver using text 
files. Also, you can do against RADIUS.

In the development trunk you can use just auth and set the username and 
password for authentication in AVPs. You can load values from database, 
text files, ldap, radus, or anything else you can access ...
