Hello,
the modules are the same, so that tutorial can be a starting point.
You should with debug=3 in kamailio.cfg and look at the log messages to
see if you can spot something that provides hints about what happens,
maybe the NOTIFY is looping, or the publish requests are not generated, ...
Have also a sip traffic sniffer (e.g., ngrep, wireshark) running on all
network interfaces, it helps seeing what sip packets are sent around.
