Do I absolutely need Mysql DB for this to work?

I'm simply using this to do UDP to TCp conversion, nothing else.

It can be a stupid question, but did the directory exists? Has the user 
who runs Kamailio rights to it?

BDW, which version of Kamailio are you testing? Why not the last SR?
