still the output of kamailio -V is useful

It does not matter the system memory -- kamailio reserves memory chunks 
at startup and then allocated within them. So if you have a lot of 
memeory but you haven't configured kamailio to use it, then the sip 
proxy will use the default 4MB private memory and 32MB shared memory.
