Not at all true.  It is easy to deploy, and works just fine as long as
you know the issues involved.

Almost every technology in use on the 'net has issues with different
clients.  Working around them is part of the job of SPs or vendors.

NAPTR and SRV really aren't complex - although perhaps there are some
issues in the quantity/quality of documentation out there if you're
having problems with it.
