Hello Niklas,

regarding the database problem: do you enable non-local access for the 
specific user? That could be the reason for the "permission denied" problem.

Have a look into the openser log (perhaps enable the debug setting) to get 
some hints why the server did not start. You could also use the '-c' switch 
with openser to check your config file for errors.
