Check the new FAQ question on the Iptel site. 

The perl-DBD mysql.so is NOT a SER module and has absolutely NOTHING to do
with SER.  Randomly copying modules whose origin you don't know to replace the
 existence of missing modules is a quick way to get your system to choke and
die (or worse, to be compromised).
