[Serusers] Help! a beginner trying to get SER going on a RedHat 9 machine

Hi,

I have installed SER on a RedHat 9 machine and it seems to start OK,
however it does not seem to open port 5060 to receive messages.  The
following is the debug from the console - the line 
	"0(0) init_unixsock_socket: No unix domain socket will be
opened" 
does not look good.

Any ideas?

I am using the default configuration file - with the port number
un-commented out, although I have tried with it commented and it seems
to make no difference.
