[Serusers] How to modify the URI.

I am new to SER. 
I'd like to modify some of the sip headers like 'uri' and 'from' header to remove +1 prefix from the phone number. 
What I want to do is to change +15042339988 at 3.2.4.3 to 5042339988 at 3.2.4.3

Can somebody show me how to do it in ser.cfg?
