You're right. It's not there. I cannot find any references to removing it in
the cvs log either, but I have a suspicion it was removed either for
performance reasons or when the api for radius was introduced. I assume the
implementation used some kind of state information in order to track the
number of failed attempts.
It's possible to implement it yourself using avpairs, but maybe hard to
make it efficient.
