you can use kphone or linphone which are open source or you can get
the Eyebeam Lite, which doesn't include G729.

If you want G729 with Eyebeam, then you can pay for the Eyebeam Pro version.

Also, Microsoft Messenger is a full SIP UA, if you like Windoz.
