[Serusers] RPID problem in 0.9.0 release

Hi all,

I don't know if this is related to this change in the code (or other last commit) but now the release 0.9.0 get terminated due to SIGCHLD:

The fix is incorrect since it creates memory leak. I've just committed a 
proper fix. Please test and let me know if you are still experiencing 
this problem.
