[Serusers] compiling mysql

I was more thinking of changing /etc/my.cnf to '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'. 
AFAIK, /tmp/mysql.sock was the old location of the socket.  The /tmp 
directory is no place for a socket...
g-)
