[Serusers] error starting ser 0.8.14 - failure to connect to DB

Hello,
there is a problem with your mysql client library -- see the line:

Sep  4 10:04:27 vm /usr/local/sbin/ser[2776]: connect_db(): Can't create 
UNIX socket (12)

Most likely the mysqlclient is not properly installed -- try to search 
in mysql documentation for this error string. One hint -- try to connect 
using the mysql command line client being the same user under which ser 
runs -- the problem might be the access rights to the mysql unix socket.
