Of course not, it is a development branch which means that it should
compile when it is in the CVS, but that's it, nobody guarantees that it
also works as expected.

If you need a working version that is being used in production then
check out the code with -r rel_0_8_12 parameter:
cvs co -r rel_0_8_12 sip_router.
