Can you try the attached patch (it is for 3.1 branch)? I'm uploading it for convenience, it includes the three commits I just did in master branch, touching core, tm and textops.

The issue is related to set_body(), which was not really safe to use in failure_route if there were other changes to body done in request_route. Let me know if works ok now, then I will backport.
