[sr-dev] Delayed branches?

Just to be sure what you want: You want to start another branch, but 
keep the original branch still alive - thus a mixture of parallel and 
sequential forking (I would call it delayed parallel forking).

Nice idea. I think there are currently no means to accomplish that.
