I am not using debs or rpms. I use the source code.

So now everything related to installation changed in not time, like 
binaries, paths, cfg files -- lot of things I built to make the 
migration and integration going faster and better became worthless.

I have nothing against building the make framework where changing name 
does it smoothly across all source code, config file, installation 
paths. But changing the defaults really affects lot of existing stuff. 
So at least should be announced, once agreed at some point.
