Dear Greger
That is a great info for us becouse your assisance was a crucial factor
which now opens us a way to start the development.
At the beginning we planed to start the project, wich we proudly call
"SERFace", in the second half of february.
There are a few things more wich we must finish first (they are related
to commercial projects) and we have the end of the semester
at univesity:) so unfortunatelly we have agreeded to set the beginning
of the project at the beginnig of march.
There are some benefits from this, we will have enough time to move our
voip(ser based) infrastructure to ser v 0.10 while now we have 0.9.7.
generaly this is my part:) I have still some problems with it, I must
migrate out ser.cfg files but I have some problems with new ctl and fifo
module
for wich I can't find any documentation as well with new serctl. I tried
to generate the documentation by #make install-modules-doc but it didn't
work:(
We have a general view of the architecture of serface. In a big shortcut
it composed of for levels:
Application LEVEL
SERFace Framework LEVEL
SER Modules API LEVEL
SER XMLRPC (OPTIONAL SER FIFO) LEVEL
This is ofcourse "Draft" we still need some more time to define the
requirements until we close the analisis phase. Any way this presents
our idea.
Our aim is to create the framework wich would be portable and very
flexible. The central element would be framework wich would be a place
where
the application would be built. By defining the view, model and logic
components and reletaing them aproprietly.
We want to build it in such a way that adding o new functionality(in the
application level sens) would be as easy as possible. This will be achieved
with the usage of well know patterns. so far everything seems to be
achivable!!
I plan to write a small document wich will contain a little bit more
details about the architecture itself and some additional information
about our company
and R&D unit.
