Hi all,
The SER docs say that windows messenger can be used as UA to access
the SER server. As the doc tells, I installed the software, specified the
environment variable SIP_DOMAIN, and started the server. But I didn't modify
anything in ser.conf. The "serctl monitor" showed that it was working well.
Then I start the windows messenger with the configuration as specified in
doc. And I tried to logged in with the account name at domainname, where
domainname was same as SIP_DOMAIN. But it timed out with the notification
that the server is unusable.
So I tried to analyze the messages flow between UA and Server with
Ethereal. The flows showed that windows messenger sent 11 register requests,
and finally server fed back with a response "status: 478 unresolveable
destination (478/TM)".
I just wanted to demonstrate SER before digging into the sources, to
make my boss sure that this is worth a try. So could you please tell me how
to configure it, which I think, mainly would focuses on the ser.conf file.
Any help much appreciated!
Best regards,
Lan
