ser doesn't rely on enum records being correct.  if they are not,
processing of the request further should simply fail.

500 is another story that i cannot comment on.  you would need to tell
what happens in your ser.cfg after the enum query and then find a person
who is responsible of that part of the code.

that should be fixed, but in order to do that, you would need to provide
more information to the right people.
