[Serdev] running pa module problem

i want to test the latest unstable pa module (with the latest solaris
binary)
after getting it from the cvs, compiling the pa module 
(make modules=modules/pa modules)
and installing it 
(make modules=modules/pa install-modules)
the new pa.so was created in the /usr/local/lib/ser/modules directory,
but restarting ser causes the following error :

Starting SER :  0(26841) ERROR: load_module: could not open module
</usr/local/lib/ser/modules/pa.so>: ld.so.1: /usr/local/sbin/ser: fatal:
/usr/local/lib/ser/modules/pa.so: unknown file type

what can be the failure ?
