Hello,
could you generate a core dump there? Set ulimit -c unlimited (or a high 
value -- ulimit -c 10000000) in the console where you launch ser.

Then use gdb to see the backtrace: "gdb ser core" and then "bt" in 
command line of gdb. Send us the backtrace and we will try to figure out 
what happens.

If you get into trouble using gdb, then send us a tarball with ser 
sources and binaries along with core file (use serhelp at lists.iptel.org).
